Before rock was popular, it was all about jazz.





Artists such as Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong and Thelonious Monk were responsible for making jazz great back in the old days. It's still good today, but highly underrated. It doesn't get as much love as it once did.

I'm more of a smooth jazz fan myself. It's not that popular, and a lot of people make fun of it nowadays, but artists like Anita Baker, Sade and Basia are artists I like. Favorite from each? "Same Ole Love" by Baker, "Smooth Operator" by Sade and "New Day For You" by Basia.

There's a lot of very good smooth jazz tunes one there. Like Jeff Lorber Fusion's "Galaxy".
