the first time i went through the game in the ocean palace i felt unprepared, and i'm sure many other players did when they had to go through it their first time as well since the enemies got a lot tougher.

i thought that particular cutscene was nicely remastered in the ps1 port in the final fantasy chronicles disc set, you could see the tension build as frog walked along the lighted path. they must've put a lot of budget in getting the animated scenes done, but then again square was already making good money in and out of japan. and now that it's 2015, i wonder if anyone's gonna be playing it again for the 20th anniversary.

and since super mario bros. 3 turns 25 this year, how about hearing a familiar tune that got brought back in super mario galaxy and super mario 3D land?
