I think it got too kooky in the sequel. I mean, was the original supposed to be Shakespeare... no. But the sequel just had too many goofy things going on. Still better than the sequels that followed it.

Well, it's a Tim Burton flick, so you would expect kooky stuff.

Great sequel, i gotta say Michelle Pfeifer was hot as Catwoman and i always adored Catwoman for many years since i was 7 reading the comics and watching the 60's show, i saw this movie when i was 10 4 times in theaters, had nearly all the merchandise, ate the cereal and watched/taped the animated show religiously.

Ever noticed how on the first seasons of the animated show Selina Kyle looks like Pfeifer and how Penguin looks like devito?

I remember one Halloween, I dressed up as the Penguin and I remember owning a Happy Meal toy.

This one was WAY more Tim Burton-ish than the previous Batman.

Oh, that imagination of Burton's...

I believe that Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman totally made this movie. Danny DeVito as the Penguin was okay, but Michelle Pfeiffer is the main reason this one places as high as it does whenever I rank the Batman movies in my mind.

Michael Keaton almost didn't reprise the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. I think he wanted more than what they paid him in the previous Batman movie.

I'm glad that he did at least one sequel before they started having different actors take over the role.
