@edd:

Great choice!

The very first episode of Pokemon is a fave among fans. Myself included.

Pikachu was such a brat back then lol

I was just thinking the other day, the first episode of Pokemon is simply outstanding. No other animated series introduced new characters in such an entertaining way.

What I mean is, everyone who watched the first Pokemon episode didn't know anything about Pokemon, but the episode introduces several Pokemon as a "fantasy flashback/flashforward" from Ash. He was fantasizing which Pokemon he wanted as his first acquisition, and by default, we all learned about the different Pokemon in a natural, easygoing way.

From my generation, it was great to see a character like Professor Oak, many qualities similar to the Professor from Gilligan's Island. He has a slight resemblance to Russell Johnson!

The real magic of the Warner Bros. animated short, "One Froggy Evening":

It premiered on New Year's Eve, 1955.

Not many people liked Star Trek: The Animated Series, but the show had its moments. Take the episode, "The Slaver Weapon". Above is a picture of the Slaver device in it's most powerful setting - a total conversion of mass into energy weapon.

But when the Kzinti captain orders the Slaver device to activate it's most powerful setting - see below!

OMG, MM, I was in the 5th grade the last time I was this cartoon. As soon as I heard the song, it all came back to me. This is wonderful. These old cartoons were shown on early weekday mornings, before school, throughout the 1960's when I was a kid.

I also wanna share this one.

If there's one I've learned from this one, it's this:

Love hurts.

The music is awesome, but the visuals are unbelievable! This is a magnificent cartoon.

This is just the lift my spirits need, including that lady cat's right uppercut - delivered perfectly!

Dave Fleischer had some good ones outside of Popeye.

Porky Pig's Feat.

Porky and Daffy, thanks to Daffy's stupidity, must try to escape from an irate hotel manager, who'll stop at nothing to get his money for the bill.

Batman: The Animated Series - Legends of the Dark Knight

A group of kids tell stories of what they think Batman is really like.

I'm really shocked that Adam West didn't voice the 60s Batman!
