All this switch hysteria makes me miss the simplicity of consoles.

Several months since release, is everyone still feeling the Switch? Would you recommend it?

I highly recommend it. I'm still playing Zelda after getting mine.

Taking out a monster base is so satisfying.

supposedly i'm going to be getting my first backpayment in social security insurance sometime this month, so i should hopefully have one before february. i decided to buy super mario odyssey to prepare for it and it's been collecting dust on my shelf since last november.

from what i've heard nintendo will finally be allowing crossbuy support for any software that's already been purchased on your wii u by connecting your nintendo network account, and i believe that includes virtual console games so i'm looking forward to that when they start releasing them again.

I played a demo of Super Mario Odyssey about a week ago. Kind of fun, was actually enjoyable. I think I might save for a Switch and get it later this year.

However, I'm getting one of those pro controllers instead of that Joy-Con one. The Joy-Con just doesn't adapt to the shape of your hands like a normal controller does.

thing is though, it's recommended to use the joycons for motion control for super mario odyssey, as some of mario's new moves require it, such as throwing cappy downwards while in the air, or throwing cappy for a spiral attack.

although i can see where you're coming from with the joycons' tiny size, when it was shown off at the e3 press conference the guy holding them looked like his hands were all scrunched up holding them in a grip.

i'd like to see a hat in time show up on the switch soon, and at the very least, expect a physical version of the game.

The joycons are mostly good for using the Switch as a portable system. That's the part where the system really shines for me as I'm usually away from home all the time.

As for crossbuy, I haven't heard anything about them implementing that feature. It would be cool if they do though, as I'd love to play all the Virtual Console titles I own for the Wii U and 3DS. Part of me does have some doubts though.
