echidna64 wrote :Awesome! Welcome to fatherhood echidna! As far as sleeping situations, ours has mainly played out like this: My wife and the baby sleep together, either in bed or on our couch for the first year or more. Meanwhile, the other kids sleep with me. We never really used a crib or pack-n-play. Just the good old fashioned way. We also never forced our children to go to sleep alone. We would always lay down with them until they slept. If we were still awake, we would goof off for a little while in peace. But about 50% of the time, we end up falling asleep with them. Or at least I do. You love this signature.

Congrats, sir!!!! That's terrific news!!!! As for the sleep thing, you won't. Ever. No mine settled after the first few months, but they do like to keep us on our toes especially in the middle of the night.

Someone once said to me, "It must be fun being a parent.". No...no it's not. It's very satisfying, but was rarely fun in the early days. It is now, but not so much then.

How are you holding up? By 2 weeks I mastered laying my daughter on my quads while balancing the bottle from my chest so I could feed her at 2 am while half sleeping.
