Goodfellas in particular is one of the best movies of the genre. I also highly recommend Casino and Gotti as other standout movies....and no need to mention the best of the all, The Godfather parts I and II. I pretend that part III didn't happen.

I've always loved the Mafia movies, and have a fascination with that life in general. A lot of the reading I do is about the history of organized crime.

Part III definitely has its flaws. The opera scene is good, though.
I also love Parts 1 and 2 and Casino. That's a hardcore mob film right there. "Magic can happen to you."
