I'm sure I posted this song over at RJ but I would like to have an embed here too.
Ran into this video clip by accident and it just floors me! As an official "TV Kid" of the '60's I have to admit that this video is waay cooler than anything else I saw back in the day. I'm guessing that this clip is from the BBC music show, "Top of the Pops" which ran on BBC-4 for awhile. If I'm right it would explain something amazing - this was a live, in-studio performance that was recorded for broadcast. Listen carefully and there's no mistaking, this live version is so close to the recorded disc release that I had to check my ears. If you're as impressed as I am after watching this video, please save a copy. Once it's gone from YouTube it may be gone forever. |
