40360Buster Keaton in "The General"I think this film was on Netflix at one point. At least, one of Buster Keaton's films was on there.

And yes, a lot of the best silent films in my opinion, were from Buster Keaton. Another good one is Sherlock Jr.

blueluigiJul 29, 2018View
40359Buster Keaton in "The General"Ah Buster Keaton is good. That's pretty good quality for a silent film! Must have been digitally enhanced.

My favorite silent film is probably Harold Lloyd's The Freshman

Linux_SageJul 29, 2018View
40358That's Just StupidI'm no mother, but I'm a parent. And this just makes perfect sense to me. I've left my kids in the car while I ran into places for a few minutes (my office, convenience stores, etc -- all within 10 minutes from home... an area I know well, but still). It's NOT A BIG DEAL! We just need to relax a little and understand that kids DO NOT need to be supervised every second of every minute of every day.
Vaporman87Jul 29, 2018View
40357DC Films
Superman wrote :
I think the reason the DC movies went the darker, more serious route comes down to The Dark Knight. Think about it; it was a fairly dark and serious movie that was very critically acclaimed. It is arguably the most well received movie adaptation of any DC Comics character, and it easily was just as successful as some (most?) of Marvel's films. The problem is that the powers that be don't realize two things. One, there was some humor in even The Dark Knight, and two, that tone worked well for a Batman movie but doesn't fit well with every character, especially Superman.

And yeah, they pretty obviously tried too quickly to play catch up with Marvel instead of taking the time to develop each of their characters. I could see the logic of not needing a solo Batman movie before Justice League since Batman had already recently enough had his own trilogy, but the other characters absolutely should have been given their own solo films before a team-up movie was made.
-end quote
I agree completely, they even tried to copy the TDK's color palette which works great for Batman but not so much for more colorful characters like Superman during broad daylight. The music is another example, Man of Steel used Hans Zimmer's blaring horns as well.

The biggest sin of the DCEU thus far has been the writing. The plots in Batman V Superman, Suicide Squad, and Justice League were completely nonsensical. Not only that, but many times they also betrayed the character of heroes such as having Superman kill someone or not care about saving people.
echidna64Jul 28, 2018View

40353Teen TitansI'm not going to get my hopes up for Teen Titans Season 6. Knowing the producers of TTG this was just a nice bone they threw in to make us a little happy but also to troll us by getting our hopes up.

I don't even know how I would feel about them doing a sixth season. The Samurai Jack revival was excellent, but they could also go down the wrong road and fail to capture the spirit of the first five seasons.
Rick Ace RhodesJul 28, 2018View
