Times have changed way too much since the 90s that I can't picture a Saturday morning revival being successful. There's way more accessible means of entertainment for kids than there has been even during the rise of cable television. And especially in this day and age when streaming provides pretty much endless entertainment for kids to watch, that there really isn't much of a reason to get up on Saturday mornings just to catch the latest entertainment, when it's pretty much available to view immediately afterwards. I understand the nostalgic feeling of getting up on Saturdays and watching all the cartoons that the big networks are playing, but those days are long gone. I can't imagine that same excitement being recaptured, and having the new generation of kids rushing to the TV on Saturdays the same way we did as kids in the era of streaming.

I mean hell, even regular TV is kind of losing that feeling as well, as timeslots pretty much doesn't mean as much as they used to. Even with primetime TV, just about any show that's airing is available for streaming online immediately afterwards. Weather you have a Hulu subscription, or it's buying the individual episode off iTunes, Amazon Video, and Google Play. In fact, I would say it's partially because of it that is why we've been seeing reboots and revivals. Like the aforementioned TGIF revival, as well as the short time Roseanne was revived.
-end quote
I know, but one can dream haha.

Mr Magic wrote :

@TDITH:

Let's see if they bring back Sabrina the Teenage Witch first lol.

-end quote
Netflix is already doing one, though it's a darker take. ThatDudeintheHoodieSep 22, 2018View

40777The CaféSo I found out ABC is bringing back TGIF...... Does this mean we'll get a One Saturday Morning reboot? Also, are we back in the 90s?ThatDudeintheHoodieSep 22, 2018View

40774RetroDaze Halloween SpecialFINALLY! After nearly two months of working on it (not consistently, but still tons of hours), the new Special is nearly complete. All that is left to do is piece together the 6 separate segments and render it in Flash format.

This is such a weight off my shoulders!
Vaporman87Sep 21, 2018View

40772Cool '80s ArtworkThe artist appears to be from the UK (I noticed he included Bananaman and that snowman cartoon). If that's the case, I wish he would've included more things from his country's time period instead of the same 80s stuff we've seen hundreds of times already (even though there was a lot of overlap in what both cultures experienced).jkatzSep 21, 2018View
