41307Detective PikachuLive-action Pikachu looks disturbing. Like one of those botched taxidermies. jkatzNov 13, 2018View
41306Detective Pikachu<p>Hmmm. I was too old to go for Pokémon originally, so maybe because of that... I’m down for this</p>Vaporman87Nov 13, 2018View
41305Detective Pikachu<div>@blue</div><div><br></div><div>i think it's just hollywood testing the waters to see how a live action pok'emon movie could work. the humor in the trailer wasn't the best, but it did make me crack a smile.</div>BenjanimeNov 13, 2018View
41304Detective PikachuStill find Detective Pikachu to be kind of an odd choice to use for the first live-action Pokemon movie. But nevertheless, I might check it out. I'd have to wait for more to come out before I develop more of an opinion.blueluigiNov 13, 2018View
41303Winter 2018/2019<p>Okay. That wasn’t clear in the OP, so just checking</p>Vaporman87Nov 13, 2018View
41302Winter 2018/2019As I've said before, it gets cool in the mornings and evenings, but warm in the afternoons.<br>Mr MagicNov 13, 2018View
41301Last Movie You Watched<p>I wondered what this would turn out like in the end. Too bad it’s not what everyone hoped. Doesn’t take away from Welles’ legacy</p>Vaporman87Nov 13, 2018View

41298Last Movie You WatchedThe Other Side of the Wind (2018)<div><br></div><div>Orson Welles' legendary unreleased film is finally available for public viewing on Netflix. So does it live up to the hype and reputation its built up over decades? I think that depends on your expectations. If you go in expecting a lost masterpiece, you'll probably be a little disappointed. If you look at it as a master filmmaker experimenting with his craft, you might be more satisfied.</div><div><br></div><div>My favorite part was the movie within the movie. It's done in the style of a 60s/70s hippie arthouse film and while it doesn't make a whole lot of sense (at least I don't think it's supposed to) there's a lot of interesting visuals. And the female star is beautiful, which doesn't hurt either.<img src="http://www.retro-daze.org/images/smilies/MavLove.gif" style="font-size: 10pt;"><img src="http://www.retro-daze.org/images/smilies/MavLove.gif" style="font-size: 10pt;"><img src="http://www.retro-daze.org/images/smilies/MavLove.gif" style="font-size: 10pt;"></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size: 13.3333px;">My vote is 7/10 stars. And be sure to watch the "making of" documentary (also on Netflix) for backstory about the movie and Welles' life.</span></div>jkatzNov 12, 2018View
