49728What video game magazines did you read back in the day?
I only subscribed to Nintendo Power, but I have at least one issue of the Official Playstation Magazine that came with the MGS3 demo disc.
MamboGatorApr 02, 2023View
49727Celebrity Encounters

I have only ever met celebs at conventions back when I used to go semi-regularly.

My favourite is Ray Park. My girlfriend at the time was in line to get a Darth Maul poster signed by him, so I was kinda just along for the ride. But he made an effort to engage me in the conversation and make sure I felt included. Really nice guy.

The same goes for Ron Perlman. I was with my sister this time to get her copy of Hellboy Vol 1 signed but he made sure to chat with me as well and get a photo with the three of us.

My least favourite is Doug TenNapel. This was back before it was widely known that he's a hateful biggot, so I was excited to meet the creator of Earthworm Jim and get his signature. He was a major jackass.

In between is Billy Dee Williams. He was wearing sunglasses indoors and was obviously either super hungover or super stoned, but either way he was a chill guy so I can't complain. :D
MamboGatorApr 02, 2023View

And that combo resulted with my mom squealing the tires everytime she touched the gas pedal. Turns out it was difficult for mom to back out of our driveway without riding the brakes to slow the car down.

The engine/transmission/final drive gearing made that 67 Delta 88 a real speed hog that easily overwhelmed the old bias-ply tires that came standard on the car. Waay too much power for that type of car at the time. According to an article in Consumer Guide magazine, 1967 Oldsmobiles were burning rubber all over the country.

With the introduction of the 455 Rocket V8 in 1968, Oldsmoblie began to lower compression ratios across its engine lineup, with many go-fast equipment options moved to "special order" status only.
eddstarrApr 01, 2023View
