| 51195 | Superman Movies |

Since 1938 Superman, including live-action and animated versions, has followed long standing storytelling traditions that go waay back historically.

On the surface, Superman is the story of an orphaned alien who fell to Earth, and adopted us.

Upon closer examination, these stories are actually not about Superman, but are about us, who we are as human beings. Are we worth saving? Are we even worth the trouble of? An alien finds value in planet Earth and it's inhabitants. But the question is different now, does Hollywood find value in the people of Earth?

Modern entertainment seems more about naming and shaming, picking winners and losers. Actors must be the acceptable size, shape, color, gender; talent not necessary. A checklist only works when there is no love for ordinary people anymore.

In this climate, Superman is a difficult story for Hollywood agenda projects.Dispite all the shortcoming, it's a miracle that James Gunn was able to complete his Superman movie at all.

What's really lost here is the complexity of narrative superhero fans grew up with from Superman: The Animated Series.

| eddstarr | Oct 02, 2025 | ![]() |
| 51194 | Legos |

Yeah, the LEGO Millennium Falcon is really cool...as well the adult Death Star set. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the LEGO OT Star Wars sets.

Unfortunately, I've never owned any LEGO OT Star Wars stuff as a kid (the only LEGO stuff I got and invested myself into back then was Bionicles). And I've never thought to get any of the adult LEGO OT Star Wars stuff in recent years because I've spent most of my extra money on shirts, vinyl records, posters for my room and trying to recollect...you guessed it...vintage Bionicle sets from my childhood.

The most recent vintage Bionicle I got was supposed to come in the mail days ago is this guy right here which I got used in excellent condition (because you have to take out a loan to get certain Bionicle sets brand new sealed):

And here he is!!!:

| BionicleFan1994 | Sep 29, 2025 | ![]() |

| 51191 | Legos |
Lego now goes to the dogs.

You can now make the adorable Patch of the 101 Dalmatians. Or you feel Lucky? Well, do ya? Make Lucky. You can make any of the 101 if you put your mind to it. Happy creating!

| Mr Magic | Sep 26, 2025 | ![]() |
