44438Last game you played
I've been playing the crap out of Blaster Master, Devil World, Samurai Zombie Nation, and Final Fantasy III (The real 3, not 6) on my NES. I have a reproduction multicart that has these games plus like a bajillion more on it
RetroSnob88Nov 28, 2019View

I bet these things sell for small fortunes these days.

Considering how rare the format is now (with very little Cartrivision 8-tracks left in existence), quite the opposite. Like we're talking you could ironically get a used U-Matic VCR at the Goodwill for much cheaper (as opposed to eBay). Like the video camera peripheral made for the format will run you about 1k +. But then collecting old rare obscure video formats is an expensive hobby and very time consuming (that is if you come across let's say a Sanyo V-Cord (another video 8-track format time forgot about. It was released in the fall of 1974. Just one year before Sony gave the world the 4th (and 1st to be known) format the Betamax) that actually works and tapes that won't malfunction in the VCR).

That and there's a reason you haven't heard of most of what I'm talking about: Usually home video formats prior to Beta (and eventually VHS which was released in Japan in April of 1976 and internationally a little over a year later) were more expensive than a steak and lobster dinner followed by a trip to Chuck E Cheese combined (not that Betamax and VHS were any cheaper new) and usually the video quality wasn't that good
RetroSnob88Nov 28, 2019View
