8849Sonic the Hedgehog Movies Coming FastWow. This is just awesome to hear! Finally! First we get Sonic Boom on Cartoon Network, and now a film in development. Great news.

There was a Sonic fan film made a while back that featured the voice of Jaleel White reprising his role...

Vaporman87Jun 11, 2014View
8848E3 2014Phew! Thanks for that rundown blue. Lots of good, fun information there. I am glad to see Star Fox getting a new game, and was really excited to hear that Pac-Man was coming to Super Smash Bros. That's awesome.
Vaporman87Jun 11, 2014View
8847Sonic the Hedgehog Movies Coming FastI found a good mix of Jaleel White's two characters: Sonic and Steve Urkel.

http://izzy-chan13.deviantart.com/art/Sonic-as-Steve-Urkel-109682012
Mr MagicJun 11, 2014View
8846E3 2014Now for a recap on Nintendo's Digital Event.

One thing I do like they got are their own Robot Chicken skits made for this event. These skits show how Nintendo is willing to poke fun at themselves.

The more I see of the new Smash Bros game, the more excited I am for the game. They revealed the usage of having Mii fighters, and before, I did not care about weather or not Mii characters would be playable in this game. But it seems they took what sounded like a lame idea, and made it really awesome. The Mii fighters have a set of customizable characteristics and movesets so that you can make your Mii character into pretty much any fighter you want.

Also, two new characters have been revealed for the new Smash game. The first is Lady Palutena from the Kid Icarus franchise. I like the way they revealed her character which was done in anime form. Probably the closest we'll get to seeing Link in an anime.

The second and most exciting character reveal of the day is... Pac-man. Yup, Pac-man is going to be a playable character in Smash, and they're going with his classic look and not the recent redesign. From what I've seen, he looks WAY better than how he was playable in Street Fighter X Tekken. The same also goes for Mega Man.

Other stuff announced is Amiibo, Nintendo's NFC figurines that's kind of the same type of concept used for the Skylanders games. Super Smash Bros is going to be one of the first titles to use these figurines, and they also announced they'll be included in Mario Kart 8 in the future. There's going to be more about these figurines coming up in the future. I like this idea as long as they don't make it a mandatory thing like with the Skylanders series.

Also shown is Yoshi's Wooly World... or what was formally known as Yarn Yoshi. Some people thought the game was dead as they only showed brief footage of it in a 2013 Nintendo Direct. It wasn't dead, they just weren't ready to fully unveal it. But still, this looks pretty good and it uses many gameplay elements from Yoshi's Island. Definitely looks WAY better than Arzest's Yoshi's New Island on the 3DS.

The Legend of Zelda Wii U game was briefly shown. It seems they're taking notes from the first Legend of Zelda game when that game was an open-world adventure. In the 3D games, they haven't made it as much open-world as the 2D games, but now, they have shown what the game looks like, and it really does look open-world. They also showed only a little bit of footage. I wish they could have shown more, but I'm glad they unvealed the game nevertheless. 2015 release date? With what we only saw so far, I highly doubt it.

Hideki Kamiya of Platinum Games may have shown off Scalebound for the Xbox One, but there's still another Wii U game coming out from him, and that is Bayonetta 2. Announced for a while for the Wii U, this game is scheduled for an October 2014 release and will include the first Bayonetta game as well. It also has costumes of Nintendo characters such as Princess Peach, Link, and Samus. However, the part I liked the most in the Bayonetta 2 trailer was when she says "Flock off, feather face" at the end. A complete knock to Kamiya's idiotic Twitter followers. YES!

Another Mario game? Yup, but this is one where I ask... why the HELL did Nintendo not think of this before. That game is Mario Maker. A level editor for the original Super Mario Bros. This features templetes for both the original Super Mario Bros as well as New Super Mario Bros U. I really love this idea, and I also hope they have the option of sharing your levels online. You can make it in any difficulty mode you want. Yup, you can even make a New Super Mario Bros U equivalent to Super Mario Frustration.

Another game revealed that's being developed fully by Nintendo for the Wii U is a shooter game called Splatoon. Wait... a brand new IP from Nintendo and not one that's been developed by second or third party company. Hell must have frozen over. But in all seriousness, the whole ink-shooting concept kind of reminds me of DeBlob, but I'm sold on it nevertheless.

Other games announced included Xenoblade Chronicles X and Hyrule Warriors, both of which I'm also looking forward to, and other's that made me go blah were the announcements of Captain Toad and Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. Really Nintendo? A sequel to Kirby's Canva's Curse on the Wii U. I would rather see a new 3D Kirby platformers, and I always enjoyed the 2D and 2.5D games. But at this point, I think HAL Laboratory should experiment with other titles that's not just Kirby. Just IMO. Maybe my opinion on both Kirby and Captain Toad will change overtime, but that's my initial reaction.

Last thing shown is Miyamoto testing out a Wii U game. Only brief footage was shown on his TV, but it turns out that game... is a new Star Fox title. Yup, that's right, Nintendo announced that Shigeru Miyamoto is working on a brand new Star Fox title. First game in the series since Star Fox Assult. Since the game is still early in development, I think the game will probably not be out until at least 2016.

Whew, well that's a lot of good info Nintendo put out. Yup, I definitely think Nintendo won this year's E3. A lot of it because I wasn't too impressed with Microsoft and Sony's press conferences... and even though Nintendo didn't have a press conference this year, I feel they put out more to get gamer's excited. Honestly, I don't think I've been this excited for a Nintendo E3 since at least 2010 or 2011.
blueluigiJun 11, 2014View

8842The Lion KingI saw the movie at the local drive in right after my family moved. I couldn't really get into it. I was too busy playing with my Disney Princess dolls. I do remember collecting the Burger King toys. pikachuloverJun 10, 2014View
