11711Claims to fameI'm not trying to brag here, but I actually do have another story that is not quite worthy of a whole article about the time I met Tom Hanks or as I like to say, the time he met ME!<div><br></div><div>For my senior prom my Dad was able to get my friend and our dates into Club 33 for dinner through a friend of his. If you don't know about Club 33, it's this exclusive club located inside the 2nd story of the stores in New Orleans Square at Disneyland. The entrance is right next to the exit for Pirates of The Caribbean, you can't miss the big 33 plaque.</div><div><br></div><div>Anyway, so we were all decked out in our tuxedos and dresses for the dance and had our fancy pants dinner, but the whole time there was this kid's birthday party going on in the rest of the restaurant. We didn't think much of it, besides we were distracted by a visit from Minnie Mouse who came right to our table.</div><div><br></div><div>Eventually that party cleared out, and as we were waiting for desert, this middle-aged couple came up behind our dates and said, "Hey you guys look great, did somebody get married or are you going to a school dance?" We looked up to see Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson chatting us up. After about a minute they said, 'Well, we just wanted to tell you all you look great, have a fun night!"</div><div><br></div><div>It was pretty crazy, we didn't even have to chase him down (though we almost did for a photo-op, which the waitress strongly suggested we not). Pretty neat story of a super nice Hollywood couple that just wanted to give some teenagers a special memory.</div>Hoju KoolanderSep 24, 2014View
11710Claims to fame@massreality: My guess is the only famous people you're likely to run into in Wal-Mart these days are the cast of Honey Boo-Boo or possibly Duck Dynasty. <br>Vaporman87Sep 24, 2014View
11709Claims to fameI feel like such a loser, other than the NWA Legends wrestling convention back in 2008 I don't think I've met anyone even remotely famous.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>I must check Walmart and Roberta Flack concerts more often.&nbsp;</div>massrealitySep 24, 2014View
11708Christmas Nostalgia & More!@massreality: Agreed. I too will watch it. I just wish the specials were a little longer than a half hour. Maybe 45 minutes and then 15 minutes of commercials for the networks. <br>Vaporman87Sep 24, 2014View
11707Christmas Nostalgia & More! It's nice that they're giving us specials to watch before the next movie hits theaters. Whenever that may be.<br>Mr MagicSep 24, 2014View
11706War of the Robots Encore@eddstarr:  Kuva was definitely rockin' the heavy eyeliner look. I didn't realize that aliens had access to eyeliner. <br><br>As far as Jacques, I hate to hear he's gone now. He definitely had the nose of a Frenchman.&nbsp;<br>Vaporman87Sep 24, 2014View
11705Christmas Nostalgia & More!I'll watch it. The Halloween one wasn't so bad. I like that franchise stays alive in this form, even though the specials lack a little.massrealitySep 24, 2014View
