21743 | How was your day? | I worked for 11 hours today. My feet are killing me, but thinking about the money I made makes 'em feel aaaalll better. | jkatz | Jul 02, 2015
21742 | Toys you always wanted | Not so much toys, but the list of games I wanted and never got runs a mile long. With some of them, like Halo and GTA, there obviously was no chance in hell I was going to ever be allowed to play them (but you can't blame a guy for trying!). But even titles like Pikmin and SSB and Animal Crossing were verboten.
My parents were actually strongly anti--video game now that I think about it.
| jkatz | Jul 02, 2015 | |

21740 | Toys you always wanted |
kstrom22 wrote :
When I was a kid I wanted Hungry Hungry Hippos. But I had no friends who were willing to play it so my mom never got it for me, perhaps it was a vicious circle. I think had she gotten it for me I could have convinced people to play it.
I always loved hippos.

Then I grew up and went to college. And when I graduated college I got a job and moved into an apartment. And I bought Hungry Hungry Hippos and I have maybe played it three times since I bought it. -end quote
I had that game and played it a lot alone as a child. (only child) I would try to play with more than one hippo simultaneously.
| pikachulover | Jul 02, 2015 | |

21738 | Independence Day (NOT The Movie) | It's a fair mix of ska punk alternative. We're pretty stuck in the 90's that way. | fuschnikt | Jul 02, 2015
21737 | Action movie stars | The first two action stars that I really enjoyed watching were Jean-Claude Van Damme and Steve Seagal. I must have watched Kickboxer and Bloodsport a hundred times. I even remember turning it on to show some kids a scene at my birthday party. My dad quickly put a stop to that, and then explained why seven year olds aren't suppose to watch that type of violence. He was a bit hypocritical in that regard.

As I got older, Arnold became my main man. I seeked out everything he ever did including the horrible Hercules in New York. I bought his workout books, had a poster, and all that good stuff.

Then as I became and adult, I came to respect Stallone more than anyone else. His movies actually had substance, he could act, and while he has done a dud or two, he is my choice of vintage and current action star. Plus Demolition Man was amazing! Three seashells!
| massreality | Jul 02, 2015 | |
21736 | Toys you always wanted | I wanted a Stimpy Doll with a pull-string hairball that would make him talk, but my mom thought it was too gross. There were some Lego sets that were cool, but too expensive...

It's not technically a toy, but I wanted one of those Singer IZEK Sewing Machines that were operated by using a Game Boy Color.

| Ajimbo | Jul 02, 2015 | |

He still has his cold, but is doing well as far as his breathing goes. It's good to see him back to his old self.
| Vaporman87 | Jul 01, 2015 |
