21764 | Virtual Console Thursdays | Week of 7/2/2015:

Wii U Virtual Console:

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
$9.99

And there we go. Ocarina of Time has been re-released once again, and on the Wii U. Now before I get towards talking about that there is one thing I wanted to say that I've been wanting to get off my chest. During the months Majora's Mask was announced for the 3DS, I've been feeling kind of contempt about the idea of basically throwing out another Zelda remake... but I've been understanding why the game actually did get a 3DS release. Grezzo did a nice job with the Ocarina of Time remake, and there's been demand for a Majora's Mask remake for the 3DS. Plus, to be fair, Majora's Mask has always been under the shadow that Ocarina of Time has been in, so it is nice to see a game like that get a second chance. I actually did end up getting Majora's Mask for the 3DS... and I was really surprised at how well it plays on there... especially the New 3DS.

But with that said, I still hold to my opinion when I say that Ocarina of Time has already been re-released too many times to death. It's one of the greatest games out there, I don't deny that... but isn't having it on the 3DS enough. I don't really understand why there needs to be yet, another re-release on the Wii U. Just give the game a rest for a while.
| blueluigi | Jul 03, 2015 | |

21759 | Toys you always wanted | Yeah. Silly Puddy was bad enough for my parents. I was allowed to have slime for the MOTU Slime Pit though. | Vaporman87 | Jul 02, 2015
21758 | Toys you always wanted | I also wanted Gak. My mom would've freaked if she saw me playing with Gak.

| Mr Magic | Jul 02, 2015 | |

With some of them, like Halo and GTA, there obviously was no chance in hell I was going to ever be allowed to play them (but you can't blame a guy for trying!). But even titles like Pikmin and SSB and Animal Crossing were verboten.
My parents were actually strongly anti--video game now that I think about it.
-end quote
Even Animal Crossing was off limits? That game is about as kid friendly as a video game can be. | Rick Ace Rhodes | Jul 02, 2015
