| 48743 | Wonderful Christmastime |
That's interesting, Ben. If you took that song and substituted "Christmas" with a different word, it would still feel like a Holiday song.

I hear "Christmas" in songs that have nothing to do with the Holiday. Take the song "Sweet Life", by Paul Davis, from 1978. It's a song with the "feel" of a Holiday ballad.

Paul Davis died in April 2008, about the time I joined RetroJunk. His song, "Sweet Life", always sounds like it's right out of a Christmas movie.

Change around some of the lyrics and "Sweet Life" could be a Holiday song.

| eddstarr | Dec 23, 2021 | |

| 48740 | Gargoyles Goliath figure |
According to Wikipedia once the first season showed early signs of success with both the ratings and the toy sales, Disney wanted to start airing new episodes of weekdays. This led to them ordering a ton of new episodes.

Season 3 got reduced severely it says because the OJ Simpson trial stole the second seasons ratings and some behind the scenes reorganizng with Disney's higher ups led to the shows creator having no friends in any position of power at Disney. The only reason why season 3 even happened at all is because Disney had just bought ABC and needed another children's cartoon to flesh out their Saturday morning program block.

Vaporman87 wrote :
Why were so many produced for season 2?

-end quote

| Rick Ace Rhodes | Dec 23, 2021 | |
