25309To allow, or not to allow? That is the question.
massreality wrote :
I guess, I really don't care either way. I would just like to see the fiction posts marked similar to the articles post 2000.
-end quote
I share those same feelings and concerns. We want the focus here to be on our memories and accounts of the past. Fiction can be appreciated, but we can't lose that focus. I think most of us like sharing memories, but some also like to tell a good story.
Vaporman87Oct 17, 2015View

25306To allow, or not to allow? That is the question.I'm torn on the idea of fiction being allowed. On one hand its great, it really opens up the door for talented writers to entertain us further. But I was drawn to this site out of a love for reading childhood accounts. I like hearing about memories that would otherwise be lost or not appreciated by most audiences. It really creates a personal connection between the author and the reader. That sort of honesty and innocence is lost in fiction.

Then again, I love writing fiction and would love to throw down in what would sure would make the contests more interesting. My only fear is that the fiction would take presidence over the non-fiction when dealing with ratings and such.

I guess, I really don't care either way. 25302To allow, or not to allow? That is the question.Leave it to that vkimo kid to always shake things up. He is adept at doing things like that. A merchant of change in the winds of time, where his path crosses nothing is ever the same.
NLoganOct 16, 2015View
