48252Halloween Kills (2021)
This is a fascinating topic. The NPR movie critic, Bob Mondello, was on Weekend Edition Saturday trying to explain to Scott Simon why he thinks Jamie Lee Curtis changed her mind on "Halloween".

It's the same process that led Leonard Nimoy to embrace Spock after Star Trek was cancelled by NBC - "absence makes the heart grow fonder". Jamie Lee Curtis has embraced the role that made her career. It's not easy to deny your "Glory Days", especially when fans never let go!

Brace yourselves, "Halloween Kills" is only the second film in a trilogy. That means a lot of the plot ends on a cliffhanger. There's nothing magic about a trilogy. And this generation's obcession with trilogies will ruin many movie properties. "Trilogy-itis", needs to die before it's too late!
eddstarrOct 04, 2021View
48251Halloween Kills (2021)
What makes the movie interesting is that instead of Laurie Strode going after Mikey, all of Haddonfield's going after him.

But imo, no matter how many times they make a Halloween II, it can compare to the imaginitive original.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082495/
Mr MagicOct 03, 2021View

48247Invasion of the Fords - Autumn 1970
Gotta tell ya, V-man, the final four months of 1970 still stand out as very unusual to me, no matter how much time passes. In an odd way, I'm very proud to be a witness to the last of the American land yachts, among other goings on that fall.

In school, my teachers were excited for us kids as the generation that was headed to the 21st century colonizing of the Moon and Mars, while the 60's hippies were excited for us kids as the generation that was going to end pollution and restore the planet to Eden health in the new century.

All I can say for myself is that I lost my way in the amazing Carnival of Life that we call the 80's, and the 90's. Never will I regret being part of the most amazing two decades to ever closeout a century!

And it was all touched-off by the monstermobiles of the 1970's.

Btw, the 1971 cars from GM and Chrysler did their best too!

eddstarrOct 01, 2021View
48246Fictional places you wish were real
I will never forget the first time I saw Shangri-La in the 1973 movie, "Lost Horizon". Shangri-La, a warm, sunny paradise hidden within the vast mountain range of the Himalayas.

eddstarrOct 01, 2021View
