Mainly because we would finish eating and then hang out in the lobby for the remainder of the time (only a small group of of did this... the rest waited in the gymnasium. But as far as this lunch lady is concerned, it all seems quite ridiculous. Surely there is more to this firing than her actions. Maybe she has been a source of consternation in the school for a while, and this was the last straw? I just don't see how it's justified solely because she gave a poor kid food. What is this, the Hunger Games? EDIT: Oh yeah, and regarding the thread title... getting dumber is what we've been doing best for many years now. The school lunch system just amazes me. Let give kids barley 20 mins to eat to keep them going all day.
