27786 | Last Movie You Watched |
thecrow174 wrote :
I never did see the TV show. -end quote
It was pretty good. I felt like it kept the spirit of the films, while still branching out enough on its own to make it worth watching. Plus, there was a great episode with Bret and Owen Hart.

| massreality | Jan 09, 2016 | |

27784 | Virtual Console Thursdays | It is the first week of 2016, and for that, we have the first ever Virtual Console release update for January 7, 2016. Let's get started.

Wii U Virtual Console:

Hogan's Alley (NES)

$4.99

Wild Gunman (NES)

$4.99

The Adventures of Bayou Billy (NES)

$4.99

This week is essentially North America catching up with Europe as a few of these releases are games that should have been released back in October. Both Wild Gunman and Hogan's Alley were released in Europe on October 21st, 2015 in celebration of Back to the Future Day. As most of you know, Wild Gunman was famously featured during Back to the Future Part II, as Marty McFly showed a few kids in the Cafe 80s a Wild Gunman arcade machine. Wild Gunman may not be a baby's toy now, but playing it with the crosshair turned on would sure make it feel that way. Thankfully, you can turn it off by tapping the D-pad on the Wii remote. I still do hold to my opinion that Nintendo of America really missed the boat by not releasing it during the week of Back to the Future Day. The Halloween game they released that week could have waited until the week after.

Aside from it's well known appearance in Back to the Future, Wild Gunman was also used in Super Smash Bros for 3DS/Wii U, as it was part of Duck Hunt's down B and final smash. Same with Hogan's Alley, as the can from that game was Duck Hunt's neutral B, and was his final smash.
| blueluigi | Jan 09, 2016 | |
