Now I'm fully aware that Barry Manilow has become something of a joke in today's online world, But when I was a freshman in high school Manilow was new to radio listeners. Under contract with Bell Records, Barry Manilow's first records were a flop. </div><div><br></div><div>It was Clive Davis and his acquisition of Bell under the new Arista Label that gave Barry a second chance to make a new first impression - and lordy did he ever!</div><div><br></div><div>Please, please, try to imagine.
