33215Star Wars: Rogue OneFinally saw Rogue One today. I thought it was decent, not as great though as everyone made it out to be though. The action was pretty cool, the final battle was epic and the ending was nicely done. Also like NLogan and Vaporman said: the story behind the Death Star's flaw is actually pretty cool and adds to the overall story.

The characters seemed kind of flat to me though, even coming off as cheesy in their performances and the way they were written. But I thought the overall movie was much better then The Force Awakens, so maybe this is a sign that the franchise is heading in the right direction.
Rick Ace RhodesJan 20, 2017View
33214Inauguration DayI saw some of the inauguration before I went to the movies in the afternoon. I kind of glad we dodged a bullet by avoiding Clinton, but Trump really does seem like a troll to me.

But hey, maybe he'll shake things up a little bit.
Rick Ace RhodesJan 20, 2017View
33213The CaféThey're saying it's going to rain in my town all weekend. I hope we don't get another tornado. There's still people without water, gas, and electricity.Mr MagicJan 20, 2017View

33209Inauguration DayI'm no fan of his, but I'm playing the wait and see game. My ex was crying her eyes out when he won and probably is today. I don't agree with a lot of his plans, but some of what he says is true. ThatDudeintheHoodieJan 20, 2017View
33208Virtual Console ThursdaysWeek of January 19, 2017:

Wii U Virtual Console:

Star Fox 64 (N64)
$9.99

Yet, another N64 game that made it's late Wii U Virtual Console entry after being released in Japan and Europe last year. One thing I will say about it though is that it's a better game to own than Star Fox Zero. A game that ended up being a disappointment due to it being mostly a remake of Star Fox 64 with motion control. It's also sad that Platinum Games wasn't able to unleash their full creativity when developing the game. It's really sad. Also, I may get flack for saying this, but I feel that Shigeru Miyamoto needs to step down when developing games for Nintendo. Or at the very least, get less creative control. He seems to be mostly focused on adding gimmicks to his games now than he is on making it really good. Star Fox Zero and Paper Mario are good examples of that.

But I think in general, it might be best to hold off on any Virtual Console releases that comes out at this point. Mainly because the Nintendo Switch is coming out. We have yet to see what they offer in their Virtual Console. They could allow gamers to upgrade their Wii U and 3DS Virtual Console games to the Switch with little to no cost. But you never know what they'll do. For now, I'm going to wait and see what Nintendo does for the Switch Virtual Console before I commit to buying any more games from the Wii U and 3DS eShop.
blueluigiJan 20, 2017View
