34197All the reasons THIS is better than THATIt is still my belief that the tremendous growth in Non-Disney Theme Parks has been inspired by the experiences of Disney Park visitors.<div><br></div><div>Six Flags, Busch Gardens, Knott's Berry Farm and Universal Studios have all heeded the stories of Disneyland visitors and have designed workarounds that work with smaller crowds during peak season.</div><div><br></div><div>King's Island point for point better scores over Disney has probably caused many visitors to re-think vacation venues - just as you have Vaporman.</div><div><br></div><div>What's really troubling, the cost of everything in Theme Parks continues to increase waay faster than inflation regardless of attendance numbers.</div><div><br></div><div>Maybe the best constructed rant post I've ever read. Nice job Vaporman.</div>eddstarrMar 06, 2017View

34192GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) series coming to NetflixI've posted this clip before.<div><br></div><div>G.L.O.W. (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) was more "orchestrated" than the Pro Wrestling for the men. Some of the "stars" were actresses and comedians, with some talented singers and dancers in the mix.</div><div><br></div><div>G.L.O.W. was aired Saturday nights as an alternative to NBC's SNL after midnight in the Seattle area.</div><div><br></div><div>From what I saw, no attempt was made to cast this as a sport, only entertainment with plenty of comedy breaks to give the ladies a chance to share a few laughs with the audience.</div> <div style="position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:75.0%"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/BbWQLhhCnT4?ecver=2" width="480" height="360" frameborder="0" style="position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>eddstarrMar 06, 2017View

34190The CaféMy work with the education department keeps me waay to busy to be online as much as I'd like - and I'm sorry for my lack of presence. Weekends disappear so fast and I need time to pull myself back together to face another workweek.<div><br></div><div>Quite honestly, the State of Washington workforce is overflowing with people entering retirement. My co-workers treat me like I just finished college - I have to remind them I'm almost 60 years old. My time with the education department may be short-lived too. The problem is I don't see any young people signing up to replace us old-timers.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Hope you guys don't mind me saying this - the State of Washington has done a horrible job at reaching out and recruiting a younger workforce. Nothing I do requires a college degree, yet all state agencies are increasing education requirements to four-year degrees and beyond.</div><div><br></div><div>My generation is now responsible for putting young people into debt in exchange for the "promise" of employment opportunities.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Something's gotta give, don't cha know!</div>eddstarrMar 06, 2017View
34189Vacation Time!!!Yeah, they really do need to cap the amount of people in there. Anytime I go to a public attraction, its off season. Rather be riding Thunder Mountain Railroad with a little drizzle than waiting 3 hours in linevkimoMar 06, 2017View
34188June - The Lyft Driver<blockquote rel="jkatz"><b>jkatz wrote :</b><br><i> <span style="font-style: normal;">So, I listen to a lot of Howard Stern compilations on my phone using the YouTube app. Longer videos are broken up by ads, sometimes skippable, sometimes not. I had to search just to find it on my laptop.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>These "long play" story ads are a bad idea. Few are interesting enough for me to sit through and my posting here should not be used as evidence that the idea should be encouraged.</div><div><br></div><div>Except for email deals I get little ad time from any ride-sharing companies.</div>eddstarrMar 06, 2017View
34187The CaféGeez I've been a ghost on here lately. Shame on me lol. I got a weird setup for my laptop. Haven't gotten much writing done lately. Working slowly on an article though. Re-writing my Super Hero article after I finish a story on another site. Probably skipping my annual Nickelodeon this year. Life has been kicking me in the teeth as of late. Still getting into a schedule.&nbsp;ThatDudeintheHoodieMar 06, 2017View
