34348Favorite Monkeys or Apes from Retro Pop Culture<div>Is there a cooler ape in video games than Donkey Kong? In my opinion, the answer is no.</div><div><br></div><img src="/images/postImages/1489548185Dkc_snes_boxart.jpg">SupermanMar 15, 2017View

34344Favorite Monkeys or Apes from Retro Pop CultureYou guys are gonna think I've lost it!<div style="font-weight: normal; font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: normal; font-style: normal;">Anybody here remember "DAKTARI" on CBS from 1966 to 1969?</div><div style="font-weight: normal; font-style: normal;"><br></div><img src="https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/c7/13/89/c71389406ff70b0debf7b54c1ed797a3.jpg"><div style="font-weight: normal;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: normal;">It's easier to search by, "<i>Clarence the Cross-Eyed Lion</i>", but this cover of TV Guide features co-stars, Judy the Chimp and Cheryl Miller - from April 1st to April 7th, 1967.</div><div style="font-weight: normal; font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: normal; font-style: normal;">Many episodes of Daktari had Judy and Clarence causing trouble at the Wameru Animal Center. Here's the entire cast including the star of the show Marshall Thompson.</div><div style="font-weight: normal; font-style: normal;"><br></div> <img src="https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/15/7b/57/157b57b38507ab3c5dca63595a0ef72e.jpg"><div style="font-weight: normal;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: normal;">Keep in mind that these were the years when CBS was determined to take its Saturday Morning ratings lead and carry it through its entire Saturday broadcast schedule. If it appealed to kids, CBS parked it on Saturday evenings. How else could you describe the network that aired "Clarence the Cross-Eyed Lion" followed by "Hogan's Heroes"?</div><div style="font-weight: normal;"><br></div> <img src="https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/99/59/e8/9959e87206b9f2167bb6573ab2b353cb.jpg"><div style="font-weight: normal;"><br></div><div><b>This is the rare Season One intro for "DAKTARI" from 1966:</b></div> <div style="position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:75.0%"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/eV8letCcAyw?ecver=2" width="480" height="360" frameborder="0" style="position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>eddstarrMar 15, 2017View

34339The CaféThe Tabletop Pub would be really cool, you could even play up the tavern aspect for D&amp;D players by having a medieval theme with tankards of ale and roasted chicken.<div><br></div><div>Warhammer 40,000 is awesome. In response to your earlier question, I've probably spent $300 total on my army including paint supplies, etc. which is less than the cost of a new video game console (games included). I've spent 100's of hours painting and reading up on army configurations and having a blast at tournaments and local shops.</div><div><br></div><div>You can get some pretty good snipes on ebay for used armies that just need some repainting. The Start Collecting Packs they have now are a real bargain and a good place to start. &nbsp;</div>echidna64Mar 14, 2017View
