I found the lines useful at times. Otherwise I could completely ignore the lines and draw freely. Not sure why but I never drew people smiling.
eddstarrApr 02, 2017View

34667New Ghostbusters Netflix SeriesThe photoshopped poster did actually look a bit convincing. But I knew it was an April Fools joke, and Google searching this pretty much confirms this.

Plus, the typo in September kind of makes this more of a dead giveaway.
blueluigiApr 02, 2017View

Then, I remembered that yesterday was April Fools' Day and checked the date when this was posted. Too bad. I actually thought this sounded better than the 2016 movie.
SupermanApr 02, 2017View

34662I still Miss Nintendo Power Magazine 1988-2012
Yeah, I was gonna suggest RetroMags too. I know I've gotten some there when I needed to refer to an old issue while forumposting at work.

To me the problem isn't that the magazine isn't made any more; it's that games are made differently. In the NES/3rd generation of video games a magazine was a good way to enhance the experience. Now, controls are more complicated so they are explained within the game rather than on paper. 3D maps don't always work so well in print. And the personality, secrets, tips and tricks, and comic strips that used to be part of the supplemental experience just don't work now. Manuals when they even exist are basically a series of csution messages or diagrams, regardless of whether it's for a fun game or a boring appliance.
shakin steakApr 02, 2017View
34661Hi, I'm Jeff from New York City, Today's my first day Welcome! How did you hear about RetroDaze?

I've been a member on various other sites. Some suffer from a lack of activity in this age of social media, when a lot of people seem to prefer one place where multiple interests can converge. And it's okay, I like how that model can work on tumblr for instance. But I still like forums. Some others I have used which are dedicated to "retro" include RetroJunk, Retroist, and Syd Lexia.
shakin steakApr 02, 2017View
