36525 | Last video game you played | I've been playing Max Payne 3 since it's been a long time since I played. It's now been five years since this game came out. I wish we would get Max Payne 4 already. | Rick Ace Rhodes | Jul 16, 2017 | ![]() |
36524 | Underrated TV series | One of the first TV shows I posted about after joining RetroJunk back in 2008 was, "Total Recall 2070" - the 1999 Canadian/German television series based on the popular 1990 movie.<div><br></div><img src="https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/6d/a6/c1/6da6c1d744d47db634b560b6df3ef6aa--total-recall.jpg"><div><br></div><div>With only 22 episodes produced before cancellation, the series quickly left Showtime and went into syndication to be picked up by NBC/Universal, among others.</div><div><br></div><div>Fans of "Total Recall" the movie quickly discovered that the TV series shared nothing with the movie except the words, "Total Recall". That's a pretty big reason this show remains underrated. Surprisingly, that's the reason I love this show, no connection to the movie.</div><div><br></div><div>Here's the lowdown:</div><div><br></div><div>In the year 2070 androids of many varieties have been integrated into human society, the vast majority as service-droids. However, there are higher-order sentient androids capable of complete executive interactions with humans.</div><div><br></div><div>A beautiful arrangement . . . until the smart-droids begin murdering people at random on Earth, and Mars. </div> <div style="position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:75.0%"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VOL2vYFuib4?ecver=2" width="480" height="360" frameborder="0" style="position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div> | eddstarr | Jul 16, 2017 | ![]() |
36523 | Spider-Man: Homecoming | <blockquote rel="Superman"><b>Superman wrote :</b><br><i> <span style="font-style: normal;">Has anybody else seen the latest Marvel superhero film? <br></span></i><b>-end quote</b></blockquote>I have. My feelings about it closely resemble yours. Michael Keaton and Robert Downey Jr. make the movie. Spider-Man is fine and all, but it's fun to watch Keaton play such a great bad guy, and Iron Man/Tony Stark always steals every scene he's in. Also, Cap's little segments... comedy gold.<br> | Vaporman87 | Jul 16, 2017 | ![]() |
36522 | Last Movie You Watched | Spider-Man: Homecoming<br><br>Best Spidey film since the first Sam Raimi film. This was well done in usual Marvel style and had a good mix of action and humor. Michael Keaton played Vulture very well. Good, fun outing. <br><br>3.75/5 <br> | Vaporman87 | Jul 16, 2017 | ![]() |
36521 | Spider-Man: Homecoming | <div><a href="http://screenrant.com/tom-holland-tobey-maguire-uncle-ben/">i'm not sure whether i should laugh or groan at this.</a></div> | Benjanime | Jul 16, 2017 | ![]() |
36520 | Space Camp | I never went to any camp. Space camp looks like fun. They used to give it away as a prize on Nickelodeon game shows. There are camps for adults to go to like baseball fantasy camp or rock camp. <br> | pikachulover | Jul 16, 2017 | ![]() |
36519 | Space Camp | Good memory. <img src="http://retro-daze.org/images/smilies/MavSmile.gif"> | Mr Magic | Jul 15, 2017 | ![]() |
36518 | Last Movie You Watched | Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid<div><br></div><div>I bought it yesterday and it instantly became one of my fave westerns! It has a killer soundtrack, too.</div><div><br></div><div>4 1/2 stars.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Jw_hee-7R_o" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe> | Mr Magic | Jul 15, 2017 | ![]() |
36517 | Space Camp | I was always interested in going to camp like that. I remember seeing advertisements for TV all the time. Unfortunately I never did go, most likely because my parents couldn't afford it.<div><br></div><div>Most of my summer camp experience was built around going to the local town run summer camp when it was being run during the summer. I only went for a few summers, and it wasn't really all that fun to be honest. It would probably make for a funny article to write one day.</div><div><br></div><div>You want to talk about sudden realizations too? As I was writing out this exact forum post, I just realized that it's been ten years since I was last at that summer camp.</div> | Rick Ace Rhodes | Jul 15, 2017 | ![]() |
36516 | RetroCon | Not an easy choice. I've known quite a few people who have gone the route of removing them all. Just a matter of overcoming the idea of it mentally.<br> | Vaporman87 | Jul 15, 2017 | ![]() |
