38814 | Last Movie You Watched | The Fly (Nineteen Eighty Something)<div><br></div><div>Man, I watched this movie in fragments on cable growing up. I always remembered the arm wrestling and vomit donuts scene. After sitting through it as an adult, I found it very disturbing and stomach churning to sit through. </div><div><br></div><div>I felt like Goldblum did a great job as a quirky scientist but the movie really lacked in even remotely explaining the science behind the telepods. I would have loved to have seen Brundle muttering mathematical jargon as he paced around the warehouse instead of just typing into the computer and voila. </div><div><br></div><div>Good movie, a bit gross but worth a watch. Gina Davis is also a certified retro babe.</div><div><br></div><div>2.5/5</div><div><br></div><div>"It is alive or is it Memorex?"</div> | vkimo | Jan 21, 2018

Given how many '80s cartoons have seen new live-action adaptations lately, I'm kind of surprised it has taken them this long to do one. Since superheroes are so popular at the box office these days, I could see a well done MOTU movie making a lot of money. Then again, I said the same thing when I heard about the new Power Rangers movie, and that one underperformed.</p><p><b style="font-size: 10pt; font-style: normal;">-end quote</b></p></i></blockquote>Great as that news is to me, I don't have high hopes. Hopefully they realize that going colorful and true to the original designs of the characters is "in" right now, as proven by Marvel and DC films. </i><b>-end quote</b></blockquote><br><div>I thought it was kind of unusual to announce a filming date with no announced stars at all, too. I'm curious if they'll go for established stars or cast unknowns. I think Chris Hemsworth would make a good He-Man, but I'm not sure he would do it since it would be somewhat similar to what he's already done as Thor.</div> | Superman | Jan 21, 2018

38807 | Winter 2017/2018 | We've had snow on the ground for the past couple of weeks, and it's finally melting now. This week we're supposed to have a day in the 60's even! A big change from the 20s, teens, and even below 0 temps we've had recently. | Vaporman87 | Jan 21, 2018
