LONG after the system has been discontinued.

Two games are released this week as part of the Arcade Archives series. The Neo Geo release is 2020 Super Baseball, a futuristic take on baseball featuring robots pitching. It received a port on the SNES in 1993 and the Sega Genesis in 1994. It was later released on the Neo Geo CD in 1995, and was practically identical to the Neo Geo MVS and AES versions. The AES version was later released on the Wii Virtual Console in 2012. The Arcade Archives version uses the MVS version, and allows for English and Japanese modes.

Also released for the Switch as part of the Arcade Archives series is Crazy Climber. a 1980 arcade title from Taito. It's known for being the first platforming game that involves climbing buildings, before Nintendo's Donkey Kong. This wouldn't be the first time HAMSTER has released Crazy Climber, as they also ported it on the Japanese only Playstation 2 title, Oretachi Geasen Zoko Sono
blueluigiFeb 10, 2018View

38918Kim Possible movie coming to Disney ChannelYeah, Since the original people are behind it, they'll do what's best. I'm hoping that it's in the future where Ron and she have grown up and go for one last mission. ThatDudeintheHoodieFeb 08, 2018View

38916Was Metroid on Captain N?
jkatz wrote :
I might be in the minority here, but I actually enjoy the art that comes out of situations like this. It may not look anything like it's supposed to, but forcing the artist to use their imagination by only having descriptions (and no reference materials, presumably) to go by results in these crazy and offbeat interpretations that you just can't come up with deliberately.
-end quote
Agreed. Reminds me of the Filmation versions of several Masters of the Universe characters. They apparently didn't receive final sculpts of several characters, but instead went off of preliminary sketches and color schemes or early drafts of characters. So guys like Clawful, Faker, Trap Jaw, etc. ended up looking different than their figurine counterparts.
Vaporman87Feb 08, 2018View
