1265ArticleHoju KoolanderGreat topic for an article. That Samurai Iron Man looks like a turquoise Deadpool. Oh I remember the disappointment of that New Adventures of He-Man toy line and cartoon. In retrospect it was my first experience with a re-boot where they sucked all the magic out of the characters. They might as well have called it "The Adventures of Generic Space Adventure Guy". Sep 17, 2014View

1263ArticleMr MagicAre You Afraid of the Dark revolves around ghost stories, while Goosebumps revolves around living ventriloquist dummies and things like that. 90's Vs: Goosebumps vs Are You Afraid of the DarkSep 16, 2014View
1262ArticlevkimoI have to agree as well. As much as I liked Goosebumps, AYAOTD was better executed. One of the major differences between the story lines is that AYAOTD usually had a "happy" ending where as Goosebumps always had a twist at the end. Both shows are enjoyable though because I was the same age as the kids when the shows came out so the look and feel hits home.90's Vs: Goosebumps vs Are You Afraid of the DarkSep 16, 2014View
1261ArticlefuschniktAh, yes. I had originally written this for my friends. I edited some, but left that in. It humored me that obviously nobody would know the place. Maybe should have nixed it. Still humored that you noticed. Thankfully, my Halloween submission is brand new and features nothing obscure like this. That one even has a picture..sort of.The Cereal IncidentSep 16, 2014View
1260ArticleHoju KoolanderWow, this was a very extensive look at the fashion of my Junior High and High School days. I can see why it won the contest. I definitely remember all those giant patent leather shoes and glittery blue nail polish on the girls in my class. The Sanrio popularity in my town fizzled out by 1992 or so, but I was a Keroppi fan in 5th grade for sure!1995 & 1996 Fashion Trends (90's Girl Fashion) Sep 16, 2014View
1259ArticleVaporman87You mention a mall and some place called Donatelli's near Century College, and say we probably know where that is. LOL. Can't say I do. :)The Cereal IncidentSep 16, 2014View
1258ArticlefuschniktThanks for the feedback, guys. This was my first upload. In hindsight, I should have maybe staged some photos for illustration purposes. May have also made the story more visually inviting. When I wrote it, I could picture everything happening as it did, I guess I wasn't sure how to present it as an illustrated article knowing I couldn't transcribe the visual memories in my nostalgia lobe. -DGThe Cereal IncidentSep 16, 2014View
1257ArticleVaporman87LOL. Yeah, once it hits the ground it's all over for the wall crawler toys. I occasionally come across one that has been forgotten by my kids down behind a sofa or book shelf. And yeah, pictures are recommended (as I found out the hard way over at Retro Junk, lol). The Cereal IncidentSep 16, 2014View
1256ArticleVaporman87Yeah, I hear a lot about Knott's Scary Farm this time of year, and they get some pretty big names in Halloween and Horror to take part in that. That has to be a blast.Houses of HauntSep 16, 2014View
