ArticleVaporman87I really enjoyed the image of your growing collection of figures from your past. Most of my figures were doomed to a similar fate as yours, with parents selling them off in yard sales (with, regrettably, my approval) or simply lost or tossed. It seems that, despite your not growing up in the decade you really wanted to do so in, you were able to capture a bit of it with the hand-me-down toys of the 80's. That's a good start. :) Great read vkimo! Thanks for this. May 06, 2013View
ArticlevkimoThanks VH. I lucked out recently at a garage sale and scored a box full of assorted action figures. Plus at the local thrift store I lucked out on a treasure trove of M.A.S.K figures and MOTU guys. I think I'll just past them down to my kids one day. It would save me money in the long run too haha Masters of the Toybox May 06, 2013View
ArticleVaporman87Yup. I've seen it a few times. I never thought it was as bad as people made it out to be, but it certainly left a lot to be desired. And the "re-imagining" of the characters left a bitter taste in my mouth. After having read some interviews with the director, I felt less critical of the movie. He had so little to work with, and made the best product he could given the circumstances, budget, and studio red tape.New Eyes on He-Man and She-RaMay 06, 2013View
ArticleVaporman87Awesome finds! I'm not often at yard sales or thrift stores, but when I have been I've never been lucky enough to come across such treasures. Masters of the Toybox May 06, 2013View
ArticleraptorYes I saw the movie. It was dreadful and I thought Evil lyn was so not like the original that they may as well have renamed her. Totally not like the toys or cartoon. And Skeletor had actual eyes?New Eyes on He-Man and She-RaMay 07, 2013View
ArticleraptorFrickin Boba Fett man! Dude is heavy. I always wish they had explored the mandalorians more in the films. Not sure if thats been done in a novel or game, but its so ripe with potential. This was a fun article man, nice.Boba Fett - My Favorite Action FigureMay 07, 2013View
ArticleraptorNice collection of figs you have vkimo. About everything I still have is in boxes because Im too lazy to dust around figures or take them off and dust. This was all fun to read and I enjoyed your recollection of toy memories man. Masters of the Toybox May 07, 2013View

ArticleVaporman87I wouldn't say it was "dreadful". A bit campy and unfaithful to the source material... yes. But not "dreadful.New Eyes on He-Man and She-RaMay 08, 2013View
