3607ArticleVaporman87Thanks for this nice little review of the people and events that shaped Christmas into what it is today. I think we hear or read bits and pieces of this type of info from time to time, but rarely does any of us have the time or inclination to research the whole history. This is a nice way to discover that without having to devote a lot of time and attention to it. Great stuff. Dec 20, 2016View

2520Articleechidna64Thanks guys, it really was a great time to be a kid! Some of my best memories were playing Pokemon video games/card games with friends on camping trips, sleepovers, and summer camps. I would highly recommend getting your Pokemon game on, it's a wonderful adventure that needs to be experienced! Each version is super fun and very replayable!Age of PokemonAug 14, 2015View
1056Articleechidna64Thanks guys! @Vapor hmm I've never heard of that show before @vkimo yeah, I watched the whole thing on a 2nd attempt, it doesn't help that the 2nd season is over twenty episodes long. I was compelled to finish it based out of curiosity and even though the WTF momements don't always add up to a neat resolution, it's the experience which makes it entertaining.Twin PeaksApr 10, 2014View

1894ArticlefuschniktThanks guys. I was unsure about posting this one. religion can be a weird subject for people. But I figured, if people are going to be posting about family stuff, this is my family stuff. So, why not? Besides, it also has a lot to do with the whole big brother/little brother dynamic. I actually teach Sunday school now. 2nd grade. Vaporman, you make some great points about children and religion. Having this story under my belt helps me a lot. Kids can take things very seriously. They see the world very differently than a grown up and think in different ways. Black and white, almost. As this story can attest, I fully believed that what I did was bad, and there was no coming back from it. In Sunday school I make sure that these kids know that there is a long life ahead of them. They may make mistakes, they may feel guilty about things or bad for doing things, but there is nothing you can't come back from. We take the opportunity to lay a foundation of the faith. We teach the stories and themes, the big picture stuff can come later when they are ready to really think about it, relate to it, and form their own real thoughts about it.
