3179ArticleVaporman87It's a bit outside the standard time frame we focus on... pre-2000's. I'll let it slide since it does focus on a specific personal holiday tradition. Dec 11, 2015View
3178ArticleVaporman87We have poppers sitting on top of our piano right now. Hmmm. Expl-ho-ho-ho-sionDec 11, 2015View
3177ArticleVaporman87Our get-togethers at our my Grandma's house were kind of like what you describe here. I didn't really know my cousins well (nor did I care much for them). So I just wanted to get the good stuff and get home. I would typically play with my haul until Christmas morning, after which those toys became all but forgotten for several weeks, if not forever. What a Stuffy Party! Dec 11, 2015View
3176ArticleVaporman87@NLogan: She would have 6,000 heart attacks at once, I'm guessing. @Kid C: Very nice work on the title card. Very nice.Perfect GameDec 11, 2015View
3175ArticleVaporman87This reminds me of a bad experience in our fourth grade gift exchange. I received a heavily used Star Wars figure wrapped in newspaper and sealed in a cardboard box ( no wrapping paper ). It came from one of the less fortunate students in the class. But me being a spoiled little 10 year old, I took it upon myself to cry about it. Looking back on it now, I cringe and hate myself for my reaction. I guess I had witnessed my friends and others getting these nice new gifts, and felt cheated. A Mature Gift ExchangeDec 11, 2015View

3173ArticleDirtyD79This article is great. I got those poppers for years on 4th of July as a kid and for some reason never thought to do that.Expl-ho-ho-ho-sionDec 11, 2015View
3172ArticleNLoganYou weren't the only kid special enough, I am allergic to peanuts and always made the same trade Mr. Goodbars for Special Darks. Now my kids give them to me because they don't like dark chocolate.Expl-ho-ho-ho-sionDec 10, 2015View
3171ArticleNLoganCool. I love Joust with the flapping noises, the eggs hatching, the dragon/pterodactyl noise, etc. Played my Atari 2600 to death. Your mom easily could have read an article there was a woman named Ronnie Lamm in the early eighties that was very anti video games and arcades who was endlessly interviewed about the evils of arcades. How they were not wholesome places for children in bowling alleys, bars, and dark dens of mischief, and how children would steal to support their addiction to video games. Bunch of nonsense, bet she would have flipped out now to see today's generation of gamers and the violent games they play.Perfect GameDec 10, 2015View
