One of my favorite games on the N64 was Shadows of the Empire. I heard it was also based off a novel but a film would definitely be fun and entertaining. To play Dash Rendar I would choose a bearded actor. Chris Pratt or someone with the same look.
Turok would make a great film using the portals. The
weaponry would be very cool to see as well. I always liked the music so they
could copy some of the opening soundtrack for it. I imagine them using the
same look from the '97 game rather than the PS3 version.
I think Shinobi would make a very decent film which would
include a fair bit from the game. The big samurai and the dark ninja in the
disco. Also having the robot and evil computer with lasers would rock, although they could
use a corridor instead of some big open warehouse for that part. An army part may look quite good as well using guard dogs as well as armed guards. The maze at
the end would be interesting, and of course the boss being Zeed.
One of my favorites would be this battle Robocop vs. Terminator. Not sure whether they would use Frank Miller's comic story line or the '95 game itself. Two things I would like to see in this film would be the future robot walking through the flames and the mini hunters from T2:3D battle across time. I think this would make a brilliant film.

I always thought Robocop vs. Terminator didn't get the appreciation it deserved (the Sega version, at least). I didn't even know there was a comic. The ideal video game movie for me would be a Contra adaptation made in the 80s..starring Stallone and Schwarzenegger, natch.

Ones I forgot on the list was Broken Sword a tremendous game and Duke Nuekm, kid Chameleon. And Medal of Honor, Uncharted, Flashback, Command and Conquer, Red zone, Golden Axe and Twisted Metal, syndicate wars. Make a tomb raider with Rhona Mitra back in the day, maybe with the coliseum and preastoric part with dinosaurs in it.

i've always wanted to read the original novel of shadows of the empire. i recently played the game again a few years back and the platforming levels really haven't aged all that well. dash just has this weird lack of traction when making turns when he's running and there was this weird auto aim mechanic where it would take a while for dash to aim where you wanted him to.

From this list, I would happily go see films for Mass Effect, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Shinobi, and Streets of Rage.
