My Fall - Halloween Bucket List

This is my favorite time of year and each and every year I like to compile a bucket list of everything I want to do during the fall months. This has been a tradition I've followed since I was a kid in the 80s. Check out my list for this year and let me know what your traditions are for fall and Halloween!

1) Pumpkin Patch: Each year I take my son to different pumpkin patch locations in the area. We can't get enough of the fun corn mazes, train rides, hay rides, and other fun, festive fall activities!

2) Eat Caramel/Candy Apples and other Various Fall Treats: Yummy fall foods.. this is a given!

3) Fall Hike: What better time to take a hike than in the cool autumn weather! Well, as long as it's not perpetually raining.

4) Haunted Attractions: This year I visited a haunted forest near my house for the first time.. One that has been in operation for many, many years. It was awesome!

5) Fall Festival: Rides, music, festival food.. yessss!

6) Carve/Paint Pumpkins: A new tradition that started last year is that I like to do themed painted pumpkin designs. Last year was Rick and Morty.. this year Minecraft.

7) Decorate! Fall/Halloween decor is the best. I won't lie.. I keep most of it up year round.

8) Scarefest: This is a horror convention I've attended for years. It is always around my birthday each year in the fall.

9) Binging Horror Movies: Again.. a year round thing for me, but it goes above and beyond when it's close to Halloween.

10) Trick or Treating!

Love to keep traditions especially around all of the special holiday seasons. Good stuff.

Best time of year by far. This year we got poison caramel apples that look like the Snow White ones with a candy skull over the caramel. We have gone to the pumpkin patch, done a corn maze so far. We watch scary movies all month. We went to several haunted houses at an amusement park. We picked up Halloween kid meals and flashlight prizes. We usually go see a spooky themed play. Our carnival is coming up.

i used to go to howl-o-scream almost every october at busch gardens, but as of recent times i feel like they haven't been putting enough "oomph" into scaring people as they used to. these days the only thing to get me in that halloween mood is a movie marathon throughout the month.
