A Few Bands From The Past That I Hate And Why

This article is about a few bands from the past that I hate and why. Remember this is just my opinion and does not reflect anyone else but me. So lets get started.

1. Led Zeppelin - Ah the biggest thieves in the music industry. What more can I say other than they got away with stealing other people's music and claiming it as their own. Yet they are admired as innovators. They have been sued a LOT for stealing songs, the most recent being Randy California from Spirit suing them for stealing the music to Stairway To Heaven. Which they lost.

2. Van Halen - This band would be ok with me if Eddie Van Halen didn't get so much recognition for stuff he is credited for but others were doing before him. Also for some reason David Lee Roth gets under my skin so much. Eddie Van Halen is not an innovator. He was just a luck opportunist.

3. Enuff Z Nuff - I hate this band with a fiery passion that burns in my soul. They are a Chicago based Glam Metal band from the 80's that when they came out (and still to this day) try to bring hippie crap to metal. Take 1 part Beatles, 1 part 9000 bottles of day-glow paints, 1 part Glam Metal, and 1 part hippie crap and that is what this band is. They tried to act like a glam metal Beatles. I HATE THEM!

4. Guns N Roses - I used to like this band a lot when I was a kid. Then rock radio decided hey lets play nothing but Guns N Roses every hour on the hour. It drove me insane and I have hated them ever since. I still like the musicians outside of Guns N Roses but I seriously cannot listen to them anymore enjoyably. D*mn you radio!

5. Nirvana - I remember when Nirvana came out and I hated them. I do like Dave Grohl outside of Nirvana though. They ruined the style of music (hard rock/metal) I loved at the time and was also shoved down my throat like Guns N Roses was. In my opinion there was nothing special about them and there were much better grunge bands at the time (i.e. Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Gruntruck, Mother Love Bone, etc.). Then when Kurt Cobain died it was shoved even more down my throat. I really do not like things pushed on me.

That is my list. Who do you hate and why? Let me know. I am interested to hear your views.

I never understood Nirvana's appeal either. After all these years their songs are played non-stop on the radio.

Seriously... why don't you tell us how you REALLY feel about Enuff Z Nuff. LOL. I've never even heard of that band. Perhaps that's a good thing.

I know exactly what you mean regarding both Guns N Roses and Nirvana. One of my closest friends and his brother were devoted Guns N Roses fans, and when I wasn't being forced to listen to their music on the radio in my own car, I was being forced to listen to them on tape in theirs, or at their house, or just singing their songs... very poorly. Ugh!!!

Nirvana's popularity always threw me for a loop. They really didn't seem very good at... well anything. But apparently I was alone in that feeling.
