My Top 3 Favorite RHCP Albums

I am a HUGE Red Hot Chili Peppers fan and they are one of my favorite bands to listen to and have made tons of great music to listen to over the years. I have been a fan of them since I first heard "Dani California" back in Middle School and started doing a deep dive into their catalog shortly afterwards.

For this article, I am going to be ranking and discussing my Top 3 favorite RHCP albums (which are all OLDER albums of theirs) and give you an idea where I stand on RHCP's music and try to give you some nostalgia for great rock music while you read this article.

3. One Hot Minute (1995):

At number three on my list of favorite RHCP albums is the underrated and under appreciated One Hot Minute which featured Jane's Addiction guitarist, Dave Navarro in the RHCP lineup instead of John Frusciante.

I really like this album because I like how grungy and proggy it is in comparison to the rest of their discography. I think Dave Navarro added a unique vibe to the band and their music and was a good short replacement for John for RHCP in the Mid-90's. This heavily underrated album featured tracks such as "Warped," "My Friends," "Aeroplane," "Coffee Shop," "Tearjerker," and the title track, "One Hot Minute" and sold over two million copies in America.

Most RHCP fans seem to either hate this album because it doesn't feature Frusciante as lead guitarist and many fans feel Navarro wasn't a good fit for the band, which I disagree completely.

2. By The Way (2002):

At number two on my list of Top 3 RHCP Albums is By The Way.

I love this album. I just love how mellow and experimental it is in comparison to their previous works. RHCP was 8 albums by the point and was still going strong as a band musically. This album featured tracks such as the famous RHCP fan favorites and hits such as "By The Way," "The Zeyphr Song" and of course "Can't Stop." It also featured great RHCP tracks such as "Dosed," "Universally Speaking," "Midnight," and "Throw Away Your Television."

And number one is the ONE AND ONLY:

Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991):

I mean how could this album not be #1? This was the FIRST REAL GREAT album released by the band and represents RHCP at their funkiest, heaviest and also most melodic and mainstream. This album BLEW MY MIND AWAY when I first heard it all the way through and it has helped my musical taste. It also helped shaped the Early-90's Alternative Rock Music Scene in general and sold over seven million copies alone in America and sold over 14 million copies worldwide.

Well, that concludes my RHCP article on the Top 3 Best Red Hot Chili Peppers albums. Please leave your thoughts on the article and my choices and let me what your favorite RHCP albums are. Thanks for reading!
