Yes, HBO will be offering broadband access direct to viewers. The funny thing is HBO passed on this idea just a couple of years ago. The difference is ratings, HBO's dominance of cable gives it the muscle try going direct.

Cable's old standard of selling 500 channels, knowing you will only watch 10 of 'em, for one monthly fee just will not continue for much longer. If we all had the option of only paying for the shows we actually watch, I know what I would do.

Let's see how far and how fast HBO moves on this.
