Well, I've been pumping out some art in an effort to give some life to this idea of a "user movie night" feature.

So far, I have created exterior and interior theater images that would be used as the page layouts. Thoughts thus far?

They really give that real-life theater experience.

I updated the theater interior with a "mock" version of what it would look like when a user is viewing a film. You'll notice a shoutbox/chatbox to the right of the screen, a list of attendees, and a selection of emoticons (called Mavicons after Mav the Mouse - who always adorned Jonathan's shirts in my Bert comics) and the capability of the 4 Bert characters (Bert, Jonathan, Karnack, and William) to put in their two cents during the film.

The actual pages would be a higher resolution and probably a bit bigger. They look a bit blurry here.

This is really cool

The theater gives me somewhat of an MST3K vibe. I like it.

Yeah. I miss MST3K. I am such a huge fan. A lot of inspiration from that went into the feel of the theater screen. I really hope this can be brought to life. It could be FUN!

I sent an email with a breakdown of the basic functionality of this "theater" feature and links to the mock pages. I really REALLY am hoping they say it is within their capabilites to develop.

I don't want to go shopping around AGAIN!

Any news on this? I hadnt seen anything on this lately.

Not a lot. Only that they were trying to find a workable yet cost effective solution for remote streaming. I'll let you guys know as soon as I hear something.
