Is there a character limit on article comments? I tried to comment and it gets cut off in the middle. Deleted and tried again, same thing. The full text is about the same length as another comment, and what makes it through is way shorter.

Hmmm. I'm not sure to be honest. But if a comment is getting cut off, then I suppose it's possible. I'll do some testing.

Well, I'm not sure what to think.
First I simply typed in a series of letters, like so: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb ccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc ddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd eeeee...... and they got cut off before even reaching "b". But when I copied and pasted my longer comment on your most recent article 6 times over, it posted all of it. So I'm not sure what to think. You love this signature.

Well, I tried some different things and discovered the cause of my issue: the article comment gizmo dislikes ampersands. There was a & right at the point where the truncation occurred. I thought to rearrange sentences & see if it would happen at the same number of characters, & pinpointed it. & after I figured that out, & replaced "&" with "and", it worked correctly.
So now you can read my response to your comment on my "new" article |

! @ # $ % ^ * ( ) < > / ; ' " ` ~ = ; : are all acceptable. Only & and + causes the problem. Conclusion: Comment gizmo worships the word "and" and refuses typographic symbol substitutes.

The same thing happened to me before.. then I noticed that it worked without the "&"

LOL. I concur with your conclusion... and henceforth ban the use of "&" as blasphemous.
