The story of TV Games Shows is the story of my old friend, Merv Griffin.

Merv Griffin is a fixture in the world of entertainment and I call him "The Game Show King", as his production companies created "Jeopardy!" and "Wheel of Fortune".

As early as 1962, the Merv Griffin Show was on my television everyday throughout my grade school years. Merv was practically a member of the family, and his TV show highlighted just how influential he was, and still is, in the entertainment industry.

Like Danny Thomas before him, Merv Griffin had a hand in many of the best known television shows of the late 20th century - without being named in the credits!
