Will Gladiator II be one of the best sequels of all time? Will it be as loved as say, Empire Strikes Back, Terminator 2: Judgment Day or Godfather, Part II? Or will it be just another crapfest sequel?

It will be another terrible sequel that nobody asked for.

Maximus' son was killed in the 1st film. I believe it would make a lot more sense to use another family member or a close friend rather than someone who already died.
