The best Zelda games were on the Nintendo 64.

The legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask

They beat the wii Zelda games like Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. I will be getting Majoria's Mask for the wii virtual console I never beat the game when i was a kid it was much harder, darker and creepy than Ocarina of time which i passed many times and loved it.

I only actually completed the original on the NES. But I played Link To The Past, and Ocarina of Time. I liked Ocarina of time, but I couldn't stick with it long enough to complete the game.

Hi 'Vaporman87' never played the nes or snes versions. But the N64 Zelda games are the best in the series. I played Ocarina of time many time and completed it on the n64 but with majoria's mask i only made it to the 2nd temple it was harder than ocarina of time and creepy especially during the 2nd and 3rd day in the game where the moon is about to crash into the land, the music and atmosphere adds to the creepiness and the game feels very unsettling, sad and creepy which really puts your mind at work Ocarina of time is like playschool atmosphere compared to Majoria's Mask atmosphere the game feels really sad.

I am going to get Majoria's mask on the wii virtual console I have already got ocarina of time on my 3ds xl.

cheers 'Vaporman87' for the points (:

I had a lot of memories playing Ocarina of Time. I completed it several times before. I never did finish Majora's Mask though. I think the furthest I've gotten in that game is at the fourth temple. It seems that with Majora's Mask, the game has less than Ocarina of Time in terms of temples and collectables... but it has more challenges and obstacles to further extend the game.

As far as my favorite Zelda game goes, I would have to say it would be either Ocarina of Time or A Link to the Past. Both games have a lot to do in the series and they're both incredibly fun too.

I noticed with Majoria's Mask that it was the most darkest Zelda game. It was a pretty sad game and thought Majoria was very evil more evil than Ganondorf because Majoria had no real reason he just wanted to see people suffer and die and to destroy the whole land Termina by crashing the moon into it killing everyone and everyone in the clock town. Ganondoft had a reason he wanted to rule but Majoria just wanted pain, death just for his own pleasure and to bring the moon down to destroy everyone just because he could no reason behind his actions.

The music on the third day was depressing and how everyone in the town will die. You are always on the move as there is only 3 days till the moon crashes with the moon looking at you with a angry most unsettling face (look at the avatar on my profile pic). The game was unsettling, very sad and creepy.

I only made it to the second temple of this game and never played since then. I want to revisit the game again by buying this on the wii virtual console. I just got Ocarina of time on my 3ds xl, it was a legendary game on the n64.

Mr Magic
Link's Awakening DX and A Link to the Past were both good games.

So, you say the best games in the series are also the oldest ones you have played. Have you ever considered playing the older games? They are 2D but I don't think that's a detriment.

No I haven't played the old 2d Zelda games from the Nes. I don't think that i would get as attachment to them as the n64 ones. I think i prefer the 3d environments of Zelda not the 2d ones.

I still haven't completed any Legend of Zelda games, but the ones I enjoy the most are:
1) Link to the Past
2) Twilight Princess

I barely played Majora's Mask at a friend's house four years ago. I remember Link had to chase and catch Skull the Kid around. But anyways, I'd really love to play LoZ games if I had the time and chance.
