One of my all-time favorite episodes of Star Trek TOS is, "That Which Survives", guest starring Lee Meriwether as "Losira".

But, because Dr. McCoy is gone from the Enterprise as part of the landing party, a substitute doctor appears  in the guise of "Dr. M'Benga, played by Booker Bradshaw.

Now enter Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - and all references to the TOS Dr. M'Benga have magically disappeared. It's as if only the doctor in Strange New Worlds is the only one that matters. Also, some of my favorite TOS YouTube clips have also disappeared. 

In addition to Dr. M'Benga's awesome performance, "That Which Survives" has some of the best Scotty & Spock moments. At least I'm still able to find some of those clips - for now.

Even with Strange New Worlds, something is missing from the dialog in all the New Trek properties. "That Which Survives", from over 50 years ago, allows Scotty and Spock to engage viewers in getting the job of saving the Enterprise as a community experience!
