But THIS one.
Almost 21 years later, this tune is still rockin'!

I love Alien Ant Farm. Unfortunate that they kind of became a one hit wonder due to that song. One of the other songs I like from them is Movies. Can't tell me that it isn't a tribute to people like us.

"Movies" is awesome too. Love the costumes and makeup jobs. Mr. Miyagi's cameo is really neat too! "If you think a 401K is your mother-in-law's bra size, you might be a redneck."

Oh Yeah - and what a hit! "Smooth Criminal" blewout the charts in over 10 countries around the world. Doesn't it amaze how this new century started in overdrive - kinda heals me inside to think how we were on track to Awesome! |

Dang, that kid has some moves! I had high hopes for AAF. I never expected them to go in the "One-Hit Wonder" direction. "If you think a 401K is your mother-in-law's bra size, you might be a redneck."

Part of it was their fault. Movies and Smooth Criminal have a very different sound compared to their other work. It is much heavier and quickier. Things like Glow and Attitude were much slower and lighter. Around the Block and These Days were a little bit closer, but those were still slower. *Insert funny signature here*

Glad you mentioned that. When a band has a "sound", that's something to build upon. Some bands go on to great success without establishing a signature sound, but in most cases other forces come into play that can send a good band off-track. |

When I first saw the Smooth Criminal 2001 video, it was while I watching Sunday Night Heat, which was a wrestling program. It was on MTV at the time. "If you think a 401K is your mother-in-law's bra size, you might be a redneck."
