I don't know if anyone remembers, or even saw it, but there was a time during RetroJunk's heyday when the Something Awful forums actually took notice of the odd bunch of users and finding the more awkward posts that were seen during those days, which has over seven pages of showing user posts shown here.

Considering the current state of Something Awful and its former owner Richard Kyanka, I find their mockery a little ironic in hindsight.

to make things worse, the administrator of the site hired an animator for making parody shorts, little did he (and some followers) find out several years later that the guy was a pedo with a diaper fetish.

I hope he's doing time. A lot of time.

I was just remembering earlier this week when Debristorm, back in 2009, invited me to join Something Awful. And that was after two of my RJ posts got the SW treatment! They sure knew how to kick, and make it stick.

Making fun of everyone gets real old, real fast. Kinda takes all the joy out of being superior!

Well since we have a thread on Something Awful now I might as well inform you all that it looks like Kyanka has passed away. While it hasn't been directly confirmed yet, friends and assoicates of SA have come forward to say it is true. It has been spreading around all evening with no word from Kyanka to say otherwise.

Oh man. That was a loooong time ago. I feel so old right now. Something Awful has a long history of harassment and trolling. Especially people like George "Georgious George" Yarid. Yeah it sounds like the owner has recently died. Rumor has it he committed suicide.

On the day of his death he supposedly had a judgment ordered against him in his divorce. I think I read that it was something like $90,000.

A lot of people are shocked, but I honestly saw this coming. His life had been spiraling out of control pretty badly over the past few years. He had addiction issues, his divorce, dwindling fortune and being forced to give up the forum. He unfortunately fell into a pit of despair that he couldn't climb out of.
