When I was a kid, I used to watch a lot of Scooby Doo, but for some reason I stopped watching and started losing interest. The only thing I would watch is A Pup Named Scooby Doo. Last year, I've been watching Scooby Doo reruns on Boomerang and that's when my interest started to grow again! Great to get back in the swing of things again.

Are there any Scooby Doo episodes or movies you guys recommend?

I always enjoyed the original episodes with baddies like Charlie the Robot, Space Kook, and Captain Cutler's Ghost.

There are several of the films that are pretty good too, and the Mystery Incorporated series is especially good.

It's been forever since I watched any of the cartoon episodes. I really need to revisit the series. I did watch that recent movie though.

I know APO is a big fan and has several collections, so he may be able to chime in with some good suggestions.

Thanks, guys.

One episode I remember fondly is The Nutcracker Scoob episode from The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries.

I just got done watching it after so many years. Still a charmer to this day.

Still remember the checkerboard bumpers from CN.

For the love of Hanna-Barbera, Scooby-Doo came along at the perfect time. You know how these things work. That very first episode in September 1969 about the Black Knight was right on the money!

But in the week that followed episode one, word of mouth spread like crazy. By that next Saturday morning, episode two of Scooby-Doo drew an audience rating that broke previous records for a SatAM cartoon. Watching Scooby and the gang go up against the Castle Phantom was a fantastic follow-up that haunted suit of armor from episode one.

And it was the charm of the characters that caught my attention.

When I was at Wal-Mart tonight, I bought what I thought was Scooby Doo on Zombie Island, but later on I realized I bought the sequel. D'oh!

speaking of scooby doo, those who watched the new mortal kombat animated movie were in for a treat.

The ghost of Captain Cutler was a favorite of mine. Love the voice work for each of the characters the gang would meet as they search to solve another mystery. Which episode was number 2, "Hassle in the Castle", or "A Clue for Scooby Doo"? I keep going back and forth cuz I can't remember.

Red Herring, who was in APNSC, appeared as an adult in last year's Halloween movie.
