Look what poped up on my watch list, a 1960 Facel Vega Excellence.

I'm familiar with the brand because a Navy officer owened a HK500 Coupe, see above,  back in the 1960's, and loved driving the car all around Norfolk, Va. when I was a car crazy kid. Had no problems spotting the car, on or off base.

The Excellence was the 4-door Luxury Grand Sedan, hand built by Facel Vega in Paris, and powered by Chrysler's 361 "Wedge Head" V8 engine. The idea was a grand touring sedan with big American V8 power - rare and expensive.
